Live Activity

Satzwerk sendet nichts an mich.

Privacy

Last updated: 28 September 2026

The Satzwerk app collects no personal data.

There is no account, no server and no advertising. All training and body data stays on your device.

Satzwerk Pro (from version 2.0) is bought through Apple. I do not learn who you are.

1. Controller

Kevin Schropp
Satzwerk
Veilchenweg 10
84186 Vilsheim
Germany

Email: info@satzwerk.app

A data protection officer is not legally required and has therefore not been appointed.

2. The app

No collection, no transmission

Satzwerk processes all entries locally on your device only. There is no user account, no sign-in and no identifier assigned by Satzwerk. There is no server that data is sent to. The app contains no advertising, no analytics tools and no third-party tracking libraries.

This covers workouts, exercises, sets, weights, reps, notes, gyms, body weight, body fat and measurements. This data does not leave your device unless you export it yourself.

Export and backup

Using the system share sheet you can export your data and plans as text and read them back in. Where that data goes is entirely your decision. Export only happens on your explicit action.

Apple Health

If you enable it, Satzwerk writes workouts, body weight and body fat to Apple Health. The feature is off by default and requires your consent in the iOS system dialog.

Satzwerk does not read any data from Apple Health. Values from other apps or from a scale are not imported. The transfer takes place on the device only; Apple Health is local storage provided by the operating system.

You can withdraw access at any time in the iOS settings under “Privacy & Security” > “Health”. Values already written can be deleted in the Health app.

Body data may be health data. The legal basis is therefore your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) and Art. 9 (2) (a) GDPR.

Live Activity

While a workout is running, Satzwerk shows a Live Activity on the lock screen and, if your iPhone has one, in the Dynamic Island. It shows the name of the training day, the current exercise, weight and reps of the next set, the set count, the workout duration and a running countdown. A button there lets you check off a set.

This information is visible without unlocking, so to anyone who can see your iPhone. It is generated on the device and not transmitted. You can turn Live Activities off in the iOS settings under “Satzwerk”.

Review prompt

Satzwerk uses Apple's review prompt (SKStoreReviewController). Whether and when it appears is controlled by the operating system. No data is transmitted to me and I do not learn whether or how you rated the app.

Satzwerk Pro

From version 2.0 there is Satzwerk Pro, a monthly or yearly subscription. Purchase, payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds are handled entirely by Apple through your Apple ID. In the EU the purchase is processed by Apple Distribution International Ltd., Hollyhill Industrial Estate, Hollyhill, Cork, Ireland. Apple processes your data as an independent controller, see Apple's privacy policy. I receive no names, no Apple ID, no email address and no payment details from Apple.

On your device, the app asks Apple via iOS whether your subscription is active and which version of Satzwerk you first downloaded. The second answer decides whether you receive Pro as a gift as an existing user. Both answers come from Apple to your device and stay there. Satzwerk sends nothing to me.

For the trial month, the app stores in the iOS keychain when it started, and whether there was already data in the app the first time a version with Pro was launched. Only a point in time and a yes/no value are stored, no workout or body values. These entries stay on this device only. They are not synced via iCloud and are not part of your backup file. Under current iOS behavior they remain when you delete the app.

You can cancel in the iPhone settings under your name > “Subscriptions”. You can request a refund from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, to provide the features you bought or were given. Storing and reading this information on your device is strictly necessary for that (Section 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG).

App Store

The app is distributed through the App Store. Apple collects and processes its own data in that context, over which I have no influence. From Apple I receive statistics such as the number of downloads, and reports on subscription purchases. For each purchase, renewal or refund these reports contain a random identifier assigned by Apple, together with country, device type, date and price. I receive no names, Apple IDs, email addresses or payment details. I cannot link the identifier to a person. Apple is the controller for that processing.

Hosting and access data

These pages are served via GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA.

When a page is accessed, the hosting provider processes technically necessary access data, in particular IP address, time of access, page requested, volume of data transferred and browser and operating system type. This processing is necessary to deliver the page and ensure its secure operation. A transfer to the USA may take place in the process.

According to GitHub, every visitor's IP address is logged and stored for security purposes. GitHub decides how long. I have no access to this data.

GitHub is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Further information can be found in GitHub's privacy statement at docs.github.com.

Legal basis: legitimate interest under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

No cookies

These pages set no cookies. Your language choice is stored locally in your browser and is not transmitted. A previously stored light or dark preference is deleted on your next visit.

No external content

No fonts, maps, videos or scripts are loaded from third-party servers. All parts of this page are served from my own hosting. No connection to Google, Meta or comparable providers is established when you open it.

Links to other providers

These pages link to the App Store (Apple), Instagram (Meta) and LinkedIn. As long as you do not tap one of these links, no connection to these providers is made and no data is transmitted. Once you open a link, that provider's privacy policy applies.

4. Contact by email

If you write to me, I process your email address and the content of your message in order to reply. The message is kept for as long as necessary to handle it and within statutory retention periods.

Emails to this address are delivered to a Google (Gmail) mailbox. For users in the European Economic Area the provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. A transfer to Google LLC in the USA is possible. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR for contract-related enquiries, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

5. Recipients and third countries

Your data is not passed on for advertising or analytics purposes. A transfer to the USA may occur as part of the hosting of this website by GitHub and, for email contact, by Google, see above. Processing by Apple in connection with the App Store, purchases and Apple Health is governed by Apple's own terms. The data inside the app itself never leaves your device.

6. Your rights

You have the following rights in relation to me:

For data held in the app: since I have neither access to it nor any knowledge that you exist, I cannot exercise these rights on your behalf. You have full access at all times, can export everything, and can remove it by deleting the app, except for the two trial entries described under “Satzwerk Pro”. For purchase and payment data, please contact Apple: apple.com/legal/privacy/contact.

Right to object

Where I process data on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR), you may object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 (1) GDPR). An informal email to info@satzwerk.app is sufficient.

7. Right to complain

You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for me is:
